Teaching Assistant Wirral (Secondary)

New Directions Education are seeking driven and passionate Teaching Assistants to work across the Wirral. Supporting Teachers throughout the day and ensuring pupils are engaged through out their lessons.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children be reliable, flexible and enthusiastic. The right to work in the UK is essential, an Enhanced DBS is essential, New Directions can process. Teaching Assistant Level 1, 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential as we do have opportunities for candidates with transferable skills.

As a teaching assistant you'll be expected to:

  • Support students with emotional and behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
  • Assist the implementation of lesson plans and activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage behaviour
