We’re looking for a Tenancy Enforcement Officer to join the Customer and Communities Team!

As a Tenancy Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of tenancy and neighbourhood issues, providing a pro-active and solution-focused approach to dealing with problems and taking enforcement action where appropriate and necessary. You will be able to prioritise and manage your own workload, working flexibly in a hybrid way, with time spent working in the community and some time spent working in the office and working from home.

To do well in this role you will need excellent customer service skills, a flexible and solution-focused approach and the ability to work under pressure if challenging circumstances arise.

The post holder’s main tasks will be to:

• To build and maintain good working relationships with Community Housing Officers and other colleagues as necessary in providing advice, information, assistance, training and direction as required, on ASB and other tenancy issues

• Manage cases proactively in accordance with relevant procedures and performance standards

• Provide a holistic approach to cases, using a wide variety of tools

• Liaise and build strong relations with community safety partners on behalf of Connect

The ideal candidate will be:

• Adept at using a wide range of tools and powers to manage cases

• Pro-active, resilient and driven to provide a first class service

• Good at networking and building lasting relationships

• A confident decision maker who positively and assertively takes a solutions-focused approach to challenges

• A trustworthy and values driven person who acts ethically and with integrity

• Able to show proven experience of working in a customer facing role in a housing or enforcement role setting

• A team player working collaboratively internally and externally whilst confident enough to work independently

• Willing to work flexibly, which may on occasion include some evening and weekend working

• Have own transport or the ability to travel with effective use of time
