The Company

An award-winning building contractor with 40 years’ experience in the social housing sector based in the North West of England, are currently looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to help collating the correct documentation with works on the installation of energy efficiency measures, including EWI & windows under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. 

The Role

  • Inputting data onto software and updating records
  • Maintenance of project data, running reports and supplying information to government.
  • Putting together legal documents and ensuring these are served correctly
  • Strong communication and written skills will be essential along with a team-focused approach.
  • Ideally but not essential you will have experience in a similar role, and be familiar in procurement methods, preferably in a Social Housing or Public-Sector environment. 
  • Day-to-day as a Housing Compliance Officer you will help identify service requirements and develop contracts which maximise the use of resources to meet the needs of our customers, while complying with statutory and Council regulations.
  • You will research options and new developments in procurement and contract management, undertaking appraisals and use a variety of innovative systems to report on compliance with contract requirements, presenting your outcomes to management.
  • Liaising closely with a direct team and subcontractors to provide the correct information. 

What you need to succeed?

  • You will have strong IT skills (including the Microsoft Office suite of tools).
  • Previous similar experience within a compliance role within social housing
  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant compliance and health and safety legislation.
