Open Source Software Engineer

Our industry leading client based in central Manchester are now looking for Open Source Software Engineers to join their growing team. Our client is an industry leader who design and develop a range of bespoke software solutions that are used across a range of industries.

In this role the successful Software Engineer will be joining a growing, passionate engineering team, have the chance to work throughout the full software development cycle and be actively encouraged to learn and work with new development technologies and methods. Their engineering team is made up of technology enthusiasts who develop personal projects in their spare time and they are looking for like minded engineers to join them.

Key Skill Required:

• Open Source technologies
• C, C++, Python or Rust
• Developing in a Linux environment
• Agile methodologies
• DevOps technologies - CI/CD, Yocto, Docker, Azure, Google cloud etc

This role will best suit Software Engineers who are passionate about software development, looking to work with likeminded engineers and keen to have plenty of project variety in their role. Here no one project is the same so there are always new challenges and tasks to complete.

Our client's offices is based just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station so easily commutable by large parts of Greater Manchester and the North West area. You will initially be office based full time and after successfully completing probation you will have the chance to work remotely 2 days a week.
