Position: Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Duration: Permanent / Full-time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days work from home)

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team as an Accounts Assistant Manager. You will work closely with the Accounts Manager in a role that offers variety and responsibility. Key responsibilities include:

• Accounts Production
• Corporation Tax and Compliance
• Personal Tax
• Management Accounts for a diverse range of clients, from SMEs to large groups
• Leading significant projects and handling complex accounts
• Developing Accountant Trainees and deputizing for the Accounts Manager

Requirements:

• Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ICAEW (Study support available)
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant
• Strong technical competence as a Senior Accountant
• Proficient in accountancy software (experience with Sage, Xero, and CCH is advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills and personable demeanor
• Must be a permanent UK citizen with full work rights and a full driving licence
