Newly Qualified Gas Engineer

This role offers an excellent opportunity for newly qualified gas engineers, who have just received their certification, to gain practical experience and further their careers in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
- Undertake gas maintenance and reactive repair works within specified time frames to meet client expectations.
- Proactively identify and carry out gas maintenance works.
- Conduct gas-related Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within specified time frames to ensure statutory compliance.
- Perform gas system improvement works as required.
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant, including basic electrical fault finding.
System and Equipment Management:
- Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment.
- Maintain stock control systems as directed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents and records are accurately maintained.
Installation and Plumbing:
- Carry out domestic gas installations.
- Perform domestic fault finding and servicing.
- Undertake minor plumbing works as required.
On-call Duties:
- Participate in on-call duties as part of a rota.
Essential Requirements:
The ideal candidate will hold ACS Domestic Gas qualifications, including CCN1, CEN1, and CPA1.
Must possess a full driving licence.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
Desirable:
Previous experience in building maintenance.
Basic electrical qualification such as 17th Edition
HVAC Control Systems knowledge.
Legionella Awareness.
Understanding of pressure system regulations.
Experience with BMS systems.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:40 pm
Friday: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
Call-out service frequency: once every five weeks, with a standby rate of £100.00 and a minimum of 3 hours' pay during callouts.
