• Working for an upcoming an growing facilities management provider specialising in HVAC and Mechanical Building Services.
• Working Mon - Fri 8am - 4:30pm (Hybrid)
• Office is based in Waterlooville, Portsmouth.

Your new role and responsibilities

• Key skills will include experience in the design of mechanical and HVAC systems and a good working knowledge of building services within the commercial property sector.

The Building Services Design Engineer’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the delivery of all aspects of HVAC services refurbishment and new installation projects; working to a programme, budget, and specification to include commissioning and post occupancy
  evaluation processes.
• Promoting energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives.
• Communicating and co-ordinating project works with architects, other engineers, contractors, building managers, tenants and other stakeholders.
• Managing teams of external consultants and contractors.
• Developing and maintaining management systems and procedures for project management tasks.
• Producing Mechanical designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks software.
• Monitoring the installation of services, witness testing and specifying maintenance requirements.
• Making sure that all building services meet health and safety (CDM) and environmental legislation requirements.
• Negotiating contracts with clients.

What you'll need to succeed

• We are keen to speak to Engineers who are Mechanical qualified to C&G/NVQ Levels 2,3 or Degree level.
• Minimum of 2+ years in Mechanical building design engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Portsmouth, Waterlooville and willing to meet clients in London.
