The Role and Its Responsibilities

Mech Electrics are currently seeking a highly skilled Planner to join our clients team based in their offices in Ringway, South Manchester. This role involves meticulous planning and scheduling of high-profile projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, coordinating with various stakeholders, and monitoring project progress. Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Preparing and presenting regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
Utilizing project management software and tools to track and manage project schedules and resources.
Ensuring all planning activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously reviewing and improving planning processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Planner with a proven track record in managing complex projects within the building services sector. They should possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the healthcare, commercial, or industrial sectors.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential project issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
