Established for 50+ Years, our client are a well established house builder delivering projects across London, Home Counties and East Anglia. Schemes vary between 20 - 100 units. 

They are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to look after 2-3 schemes at one time, with the projects due to commence in Q2 and Q3 this year. 

Duties will include - 

• Full commercial responsibility and owndership for your projects, reporting into the Commercial Manager 
• Manage all commercial processes and ensure procedures are follwed 
• Prepare tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate capable s/c & place robust s/c orders.
• Financially & commercially mange sub-contractor’s to final account completion.
• Value engineering – actively review, consider and implement a better way to achieve something without jeopardising quality, longevity, and buildability.
• Ensure quality, H&S and financial security is considered & addressed in our selection of subcontract and other partners.
• Set-up site-wide budget on CVR.
• Prepare & present accurate cost and value reconciliation reports.
• Carry out risk and opportunities schedule for CVR.
• Prelims – Ensure tight cost control and management.
• Establish and implement any controls or management of prelims required with site team.
• Follow the prescribed timings for applications, invoicing and payments – both internal and external.
• Assess all subcontractor applications, issue timely notices, value measured works carried out, review, challenge and agree variations.
• Variations and changes – be proactive in the recovery of all due entitlement in good time.
• Carry out site measurement and take-offs as required.
