Shift Manager

Shift Manager + £43k + Night Shift 40 hours per week + Permanent position
Our client are looking for a Shift Manager to join them on their busy night shift to coordinate the effective running of the filling hall, managing a team of 20 staff.
- This role will involve working with the Operations Manager, Quality Control, Warehouse, Planning Team and Engineers.
- Assist Line Leaders to problem solve on their lines and make sure that all Line Leaders have the correct information about which lines are running when and which products they should be running.
- Liasing with the Quality team to ensure any rework is completed in a timely manner
- Assisting the line leaders where necessary, and making sure that the handover between shifts and the preparation for the next day is done.
- Attend production meetings and provide the necessary information
- Taking ownership for the tidiness and orderliness of all areas within production including being involved in the monthly hygiene audit.
- The ability to remain calm in difficult situations and control a number of issues at the same time is important.
The role of Shift Manager requires:
- An individual with a detailed understanding of the requirements and processes of running a line.
- The individual needs to have a supportive manner and see themselves as an assistant to the line leaders and a support to the Operations Manager.
- The individual needs to be happy seeking advice from the relevant person but also making well thought through decisions by themselves
