Must be within a commutable distance of Edgehill (Liverpool)

Role and Responsibilities

• Mechanical repairs and maintenance of rail freight vehicles
• Fault-finding and inspections
• Damage repairs
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines at all times

The Candidate

• Interested in hands-on, mechanical work
• Open to learning and development opportunities, and willing to fully embrace the training process
• Able to take on board instructions and work safely under supervision

Essential

• Experience working in an engineering environment
• Comfortable conducting mechanical work, either through employment or as a hobby
• Able to pass a pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening process
• Drivers License 

Desirable

• Experience maintaining plant machinery, HGVs, PSVs
• Strong mechanical background
