Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Solutions Architect with innovative ideas around how technology can positively transform services and effectively address business challenge?
Our Architecture and Assurance Team within our Digital, Data and Technology department are seeking a Solutions architect, on a full-time permanent basis, to be part of a team charged with delivering and enabling Digital Excellence across the Organisation. You will proactively work at a strategic level as technical governance within the IS department and Force.
Key Accountabilities
- You will establish architectural principles, policies and standards and be responsible for governance, solving complex and high-risk issues or delivering architecture design.
- You will take the lead on technical strategy, including the force cloud adoption strategy.
- You will carry out horizon scanning across industry, identifying emerging trends and their potential impact and opportunity for the organisation, proactively seek opportunities for digital transformation.
The must haves
- A Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant Degree or have demonstratable work experience.
- Experience of Solutions and/or Enterprise Architecture
- Proven experience of designing solutions within a secure network ensuring compliance to accreditation regimes
- Familiar with web architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, etc. and DBMS architectures, as required.
- Proficient at architecture tools & utilities, e.g. CaseWise, MS Visio, PowerPoint

Salary £50,109 - £58,062
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
