Managing the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of factory production, ensuring that all scheduled production plans are delivered on time and in full, whilst all performance related KPIs are delivered in an effective and profitable manner.
The role of Shift manager :
To actively promote a safety & wellbeing culture within the department and ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met by every team member.
To drive shift performance on recognised business KPI’s and maintain standard utilisation of raw materials, packaging, and labour.
To promote the development and implementation of a culture of continuous improvement of quality, productivity, efficiency and cost control. Personally lead projects of focused improvements & also assign champions from within the team for others.
To ensure product quality & GMP standards are continually met and the site is continually ‘audit ready’.
To foster high levels of motivation and morale within the team through sound leadership and effective employee communication & engagement strategy consistently.
To ensure, through maintaining the appropriate staffing levels and the development of adequate skills cover, that the ability to produce to standard performance is maintained through each shift and through the production week
A successful candidate:
- Able to confidently delegate tasks
- Able to follow instructions
- Attention to detail
- Food manufacturing experience
