Location: Rainham

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-4pm (overtime and weekend work available)

Salary: £39,060 for CE Drivers with a minimum of 2 years’ experience

£37,060 for C Drivers, with progression to £39,060 upon achieving CE status (training provided)

Igloo is seeking skilled Light Transport Operators for motorcycle movements to join our client’s team in Rainham. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing and leading vehicle movement company.

Role Overview:

As a Light Transport Operator, you will be crucial in providing reliable, efficient, and courteous service. Your duties will include:

  • Safely recovering various vehicles across London using recovery vehicles and equipment.
  • Strict adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Providing professional service with clients and customers, exhibiting a courteous and helpful demeanour during recovery operations.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of recovered vehicles, documenting any damages or issues accurately.
  • Collaborating with fellow recovery drivers and support staff.
  • Completing all administrative duties, including the use of electronic devices and processes accurately and on time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a recovery or tow truck driver.
  • Current Driver CPC and knowledge of tachograph legislation.
  • Motorbike licence required.
  • Minimum Driving Licence: Category C, ideally CE (training provided for Category C drivers to achieve CE status).
  • Clean driving record (no DR, CD, DD, IN, or TT99 endorsements).
  • Understanding of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment.
  • High standard of safety and professionalism in all recovery operations, with a positive, proactive, and flexible outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Capability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards.
  • Successful candidates must pass the NPPV2 vetting process.
  • IVR level training (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) is desirable.
