SQL Database Developer

As a SQL Developer / Database Engineer for our award-winning SaaS client, you'll join an agile, Scrum-based team, contributing to the creation and maintenance of complex scripting for advanced analytics in the EdTech / tech4good sector. You will get the opportunity to help them build a new suite of inhouse analytics for the business and be part of their journey to invest in more BI.
Role Responsibilities:
- Execute pre-existing SQL scripts and procedures for data analytics.
- Optimize data extraction and processing operations in SQL Server.
- Refine and improve existing procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc SQL queries to generate metrics and insights.
- Develop new SQL Server functionality as part of ongoing product development.
- Assist in the design and implementation of database structures.
- Experienced Database Engineer, SQL Developer or BI professional with SQL Development experience
- Strong skills in MS SQL Server, with experience in querying and developing stored procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas and macros.
- Good relational database design skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow defined processes diligently.
- Great attention to detail and experience with complex data.
- Azure SQL
- SSRS
- Power BI or other BI tools
- Azure DevOps
- MongoDB
- Circa £45,000, with some flexibility for the right candidate
- Remote working with occasional office travel (once a month)
