We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

Job Description

Play your part in the construction of Hinkley Point C - two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain, providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

Role responsibilities and likely background:

  • Reporting and accountable to the PMO & Delivery Commercial Lead. 
  • Working with the PMO Commercial function and the i-PMO Project Controls Director.
  • Interface with all functions to update the control budget and provide cost advice.
  • External interface will be required with several stakeholders including the Client and Delivery Partners.
  • Ideally will have contributed to development of specialist process or procedures or drafting of industry relevant articles or publications for their specialist field.

Project responsibility for:

  • Maintaining the Control Budget 
  • Developing Control Budget Tools
  • EAC reporting, trend analysis from Affordable Budget
  • Costing change from Handover 1 design to Handover 2 design and recording movement from Affordable Budget.
  • Ensuring latest design information is available to Site Performance Reporting Teams and Planning
  • Supporting i-PMO (MEH programme wide) Project Controls
  • Interface with Client governance

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent) - Ideally within a construction related subject, but not essential.
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
Additional Information

Experience:

  • Proven track record in Project Control / Estimation / EAC implementation and management in regulated industrial sector.
  • Proven experience with multi-stakeholder integrated programmes (development, assessment, modelling and reporting)
