Materials Controller
£30,000 per annum
Permanent opportunity in outskirts of Chester
40 hours per week working Monday to Friday - 08:00-16:30

Responsibilities of the Materials Controller:

• Generate and process purchase orders for necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Schedule and manage the calibration of tools and equipment.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure tools are compliant with industry standards.
• Coordinate with calibration service providers to ensure timely and accurate calibration services.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain records and documentation for dangerous goods to ensure regulatory compliance.

The Candidate
The successfully appointed Materials Controller will have the following skills and abilities:

• Experience working within purchasing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
• A valid Forklift and Dangerous Goods certificate would be advantageous
• Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
