Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer

My Client a design and build contractor to the UK water sector have an immediate need for a civil structural design engineer to join them on a contract basis outside IR35 for a period of 6 months
This immediate requirement is for a senior engineer to develop a design scheme for a sludge retaining wall/ bund around an existing waste water treatment plant. the Wall is likely to be between 1-1.5m tall and across two sections of the existing treatment works site around a perimeter of C400m. the scope of the scheme is to provide protection to the site and retain sludge on site in the event of a failure within the main sludge holding tank and existing treatment plant infrastructure
Applicants should ideally be degree or equivalent qualified in Civil / Structural engineering and must have experience in the design of concrete retaining walls and sheet piles.
The successful candidate would be expected to work 2-3 days per week in the clients office in Bradford and to visit site in Sheffield as required. The role has been pre-determined as outside IR35 but they would also consider those wishing to work Inside IR35 if applicable. In return our client are offering a competitive hourly rate and 6 months work on a hybrid basis.
