Exciting opportunity for a confident, driven PQ  Accountant within a thriving, fast-paced industry. 

Medlock Partners is partnering with a very well-established and well known leisure industry business based in the Salford region which is looking to add a Management Accountant to the team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role would suit a part-qualified or QBE Management Accountant who is looking to develop their knowledge and experience in a fast-moving and vibrant business. This varied role will expose you to Management and Financial accounting and you will be involved in Management Account preparation, reporting, high volume cash management and also preparation for audit.
  
In the leisure industry you won't be bored or have a repetitive or limited workload! You'll be bringing the numbers to life; liaising with all manner of different stakeholders across this thriving multi - site business.  You'll need to be a confident and friendly communicator, with a good sense of humour, able to effectively speak about key, finance-related matters with non-finance colleagues. You'll be an important part of this collaborative finance team and as such will be able to use your wide ranging skills to make a personal impact as well as benefit from excellent mentoring as you also develop new skills and experience in the role.

Some responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
  • Provide monthly management account information 
  • Provide audit information for external auditors
  • Cash book management  - recording of receipts and payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of payments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Credit Card reconciliations
  • Posting / checking business returns
  • Stock audit reconciliation
  • Flash sales reporting
  • Flash P&L
  • Regular and ad-hoc finance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
  • Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
  • Support to Financial Controller on ad hoc projects and tasks
  
Key requirements for the Accounts Assistant:
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role is essential
  • CIMA or ACCA part qualified | QBE or AAT qualified
  • Excellent communication skills - able to discuss financial information and the implications to a wide range of non-finance stakeholders
  • Fast and accurate processor of data
  • Able to manage multiple differing priorities
  • High level of attention to detail.
