Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of high-value projects in Blackpool and Holyhead with some travel to these sites. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, contributing to the continued success and growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Develop tender documents, assess contractor bids, and oversee the procurement process.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including preparing and issuing interim valuations, assessing variations, and agreeing on final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow analyses for senior management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the building services industry.
  • Strong background in managing high-value projects, particularly in the North-West region.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field..
