Are you a Freelance Quantity Surveyor looking for your next long term contract?

Our client currently requires commercial support on delivering a multiple million pound, green energy civil engineering project. To be suitable for this role you will have to be able to demonstrate experience of working in a large principal contractor environment .

Note applicants must hold NEC or Fidic form of contract experience and demonstrate this by providing working references. 

Responsibilities:

• Project administration (Commercial and project spreadsheets etc.)
• Drafting of sub-contracts
• Raising payment certs for subcontractors
• Working alongside procurement department
• External valuations, re-measures and pricing variations
• Prioritise and manage time whilst working to deadlines
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Preparing reports for senior commercial management team

Requirements:

• Be a confident and reliable Quantity Surveyor who can "own" the commercial function of the project
• To be site based four days per week. 
• Extensive experience in a civil engineering environment (groundworks, earthworks, concrete, drainage etc.)
• Degree or HND qualified in relevant subject
• Possess strong numeracy and report writing skills
• Experience working for large principal construction and civil engineering contractors
