Job Purpose:
Ensure a safe, clean, and fair working environment for all team members, achieving defined outcomes for the site and customers by assigning work and meeting KPIs.

Shift timings: 0600-1800

4 on 4 off schedule, Monday-Sunday

Must have access to transport due to site location

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive work environment for optimal staff performance
• Uphold corporate values and ensure team alignment
• Communicate roles, train, and prepare team members
• Collaborate with HR and Line Manager to promote wellness and engagement
• Develop a positive, progressive workplace culture
• Manage and supervise team effectively, focusing on training and development
• Aid in succession planning and talent development
• Conduct weekly meetings to relay company messages

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
• Analyse and mitigate health and safety risks
• Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings
• Promote a safety-first culture
• Investigate and report workplace incidents

Quality Responsibilities:

• Supervise adherence to processes and standard operating procedures
• Drive continuous improvement and remove performance barriers
• Track and understand shift performance, addressing deviations
• Support team in improving performance results
• Ensure compliance with Quality Policy and objectives

Operational Responsibilities:

• Identify and report potential opportunities with customers
• Ensure service delivery across the shift
• Manage MHE allocation and maintenance
• Oversee storage availability and customer complaint resolution
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support the team daily
• Assist in resource planning and management
• Ensure KPI achievement for order picking and loading
• Maintain good communication with the wider team and respond to internal and external customers

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Training:

• Essential: GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent)
• Desirable: Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification, Health and Safety Qualification, Current Counterbalance Licence, Current VNA Licence, Valid UK Driving Licence (training provided for VNA Licence)
