Synergy Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a clients Highways contract in Winchester, Hampshire. 

As a/the Quantity Surveyor you will be part of our Commercial Team who are responsible for provision of effective quantity surveying and commercial management support on the Hampshire Highways Service Contract  

As the Quantity Surveyor your duties & responsibilities will be:

• Cost and Value Management 
• Assist with providing commercial and financial reporting information 
• Work with the Operations team to prepare clear and accurate quarterly forecasts 
• Identifying contract variations 
• Management and recording of change including submission and agreements of early warnings, compensation events and quotations 
• Ensure compliance with Milestone Infrastructure minimum standards and commercial procedures
• Agreement of Final Accounts
• Understanding the client's budgets and maintaining constant dialogue to reach year end targets 
• Implement commercial processes to ensure contractual entitlements is realised 
• Sub-Contract procurement and management 
• Monthly costs and value reconciliation and management 
• work within strict deadlines required under the contract and required by the company 
• Site visits 
• Ad hoc commercial duties and job requires 

 Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• Preferable but not essential Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related Construction Subject 
• Good level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry 
• Good Command and communication of Oral and written English 
• Good Negotiator and communicator 
• Good People/Organisational skills 
• Demonstrable highways experience and civil engineering experience preferable with contracting organisations 
• Good knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts 
• IT Proficient
