Job Title:             Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

Shift:                   6am – 2pm Monday – Friday, 2pm – 11.30pm Monday – Thursday rotation (38 hours)

Salary:                 £40,600 plus benefits

Location:             Warrington, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Leigh, Astley, Salford

Martin Anthony, a specialist recruiter, is partnering with a manufacturer boasting a proud heritage. Renowned as one of the UK's leading manufacturers in their product range, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

They are looking for a day based Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the plant.   

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance and adherence to company procedures, practices, and standards
• To diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain Mechanical equipment and machinery
• To observe, recognise and report on machinery and equipment condition, performance, or symptoms of impending failure
• Effectively support in-house projects which include equipment improvement activities and cost reductions.
• Carry out planned, preventative and corrective maintenance to agreed schedules
• To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment
• Liaise with Maintenance and Operations staff to ensure assets are handed over in a timely, qualitative, and operational running condition
• Prioritise and support reactive/breakdown repair
• Effectively support Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule
• To raise appropriate requests for replacement parts as required

Maintenance Engineer Key Skills & Experience required:

• Completed formal apprenticeship in Mechanical is desirable but not essential
• Experience in Maintenance activities in a fast-moving continuous manufacturing environment
• Team worker
• Continually identify methods of reducing equipment downtime
• Good communication skills
• Logical, ability to think strategically
• Ability to prioritise own workload
