An OUTSTANDING SEMH school in Birkenhead, Wirral is looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their passionate and dedicated team to help support students with SEMH.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can flourish academically and emotionally.
  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and promoting positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised learning strategies.
  • Implement effective interventions and support plans tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage independence, self-esteem, and resilience in students through engaging activities.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to evaluate and adapt teaching approaches.
