Bridging Finance Solicitor

Altrincham, Manchester 

Salary: Up to £200K 


We are looking for an experienced Bridging Finance Solicitor to provide expert legal advice and support on bridging finance transactions. The successful candidate will manage the legal aspects of bridging loans, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and facilitate smooth transaction processes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to bridging finance transactions, including loan agreements, security documents, and ancillary documentation.
  • Client Advisory: Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients on all aspects of bridging finance, including structuring transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee the legal process of bridging finance transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met and transactions are closed efficiently.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on properties and borrowers, identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary legal contact for clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and resolution of any legal issues.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle any legal disputes or issues that arise during transactions, working to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting bridging finance and incorporate best practices into the legal process

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bridging finance, property finance, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including property law, financial services regulations, and corporate law.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software.
