Senior Electronics Design Engineer - West London / Hybrid Work Option

 

Technical Area: Analogue and Digital Design, Power Electronics, AC & DC, Altium

 

This thriving SME business designs, tests and manufactures safety-critical, low-power, electronic and electromechanical devices used in harsh industrial environments.

 

The Job

 

As a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, you will design new circuits from the initial specification and integrate them into mechanical housings, ready for test and final production.

Technical responsibilities:

  • Prototyping and Breadboarding
  • PCB layout design using Altium
  • Design for ease of manufacture and assembly
  • Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive
  • Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies

About You

 

As Electronics Design Engineer, we seek the following skills and experience:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium for schematic capture and layout
  • Microcontrollers
  • Ability to benchmark / reverse engineer and analyse circuits

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of hazardous location electronics
  • Knowledge of intrinsic safety and limited energy circuits
  • Design experience with wide temperature range products
