About Us: T4S Education specialises in recruiting facilities staff for schools across Birmingham. We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled School Caretakers to work in schools across Birmingham from September 2024 or sooner. We have a mixture of full time, part time, temporary and permanent positions so whatever your circumstances, we will be able to assist. Applicants must have good maintenance skills or have a trade and be reliable and flexible when needed. These are fantastic opportunities for individuals with strong maintenance or handyperson skills to contribute to a safe and secure environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the site team to ensure the school's premises are well-maintained and secure
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring the school environment is safe and operational
• Monitor and maintain the school’s security systems and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections and identify areas needing attention or improvement
• Assist with the setup and takedown of school events and activities
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Strong maintenance or handyperson skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a similar role within an educational environment is desirable but not essential
