Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are working with an established manufacturing company based in St Helens.  They are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Double Days role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Effectively planning and carrying out preventative maintenance procedures within the framework, ensuring all equipment is safe to run and is cleaned to the highest possible standard
• Carry out routine/emergency maintenance on conveyors, sensors/switches, PLC’s, pumps, furnaces/ovens, vacuum systems & compressed air systems
• Equipment downtime must be kept to an absolute minimum through timely and thoughtful fault diagnosis and rectification
• Maintain engineering stock control completing regular audits, ensure all engineering tools and consumables are well maintained, adequately supplied, stored appropriately and kept clean to the highest of engineering standards
• Health and Safety will be your highest priority at all times whilst ensuring all site equipment is compliant with all HSE regulations
• You will be responsible for delivering KPI targets set within the Engineering department
• Working within a team of Maintenance Engineers to complete tasks within automation
• Involvement in CI & project work

Qualifications & Experience required:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
• Previous experience in preventative and corrective maintenance within an Industrial Manufacturing Environment
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems

This position is commutable from; Blackbrook, New Boston, Newton-le-Willows, Ashtons Green, Ashton-in-Makerfield
