Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join our head office team. We design, build and maintain commercial workplace environments. We work in city centre and regional office buildings, industrial and retail buildings. The work is varied, interesting and rewarding. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Researching the cost of items such as labour, plant and materials.
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors with a specified time frame.
- Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
- Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
- Preparing tenders for in accordance with different Forms of Contract.
- Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
Quantity Surveyor Key skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Trade Experience
- Minimum 2 years Surveying experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills displaying attention to detail.
- The ability to make decisions in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Analytical and forward thinking.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and maintain and build client relationships to secure further work opportunities.
- Good understanding of the building process and construction materials and have a full understanding of current market conditions and rates.
- Methodical, conscientious and organised, working to deliver high standards.
- Computer literate with a good understanding of excel.
- Full driving licence
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent or Part-time, Monday Friday
Salary: £40,000- £60,000 per year subject to experience.
