Salary: £35k to £40k Basic and benefits

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated Back-end Software Developer who is proficient in server-side technologies such as Node.js/Express, and databases such as Oracle and MySQL. Even better if you have experience in the Telecoms sector.
As a member of the development team, you'll be responsible for supporting the building and maintenance of the billing platform back-end services that helps their customers manage their accounts. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and developing our API services that we offer to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop our API services that we offer to our customers.
- Collaborate with the development team to build and maintain our web application using modern JavaScript programming styles and frameworks.
- Work closely with senior developers to understand the codebase, contribute to its maintenance, and help with further development.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming best practices.
- Perform unit testing and ensure code quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues.
- Work with the DevOps team to deploy the application to our Linux servers.
- Document code and write technical specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering with two years SW Development experience.
- Proficiency in server-side technologies such as Node.js/Express, and databases such as Oracle and MySQL
- Familiarity with Git for source control
- Familiarity with Linux environment
- Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Passionate about software development and eager to learn new technologies.
- Experience in billing or a similar domain is a plus, but not required.
