Job Summary:

We are delighted and excited to offer the opportunity to join a vibrant, innovative, and rapidly expanding tech company who are making great waves in the provision of Billing SW for the Telecoms and IT Sectors in the UK and Globally

We're seeking a highly motivated Back-end Software Developer who is proficient in server-side technologies such as Node.js/Express, and databases such as Oracle and MySQL. Even better if you have experience in the Telecoms sector.

As a member of the development team, you'll be responsible for supporting the building and maintenance of the billing platform back-end services that helps their customers manage their accounts. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and developing our API services that we offer to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop our API services that we offer to our customers.
  • Collaborate with the development team to build and maintain our web application using modern JavaScript programming styles and frameworks.
  • Work closely with senior developers to understand the codebase, contribute to its maintenance, and help with further development.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming best practices.
  • Perform unit testing and ensure code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues.
  • Work with the DevOps team to deploy the application to our Linux servers.
  • Document code and write technical specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering with two years SW Development experience.
  • Proficiency in server-side technologies such as Node.js/Express, and databases such as Oracle and MySQL
  • Familiarity with Git for source control
  • Familiarity with Linux environment
  • Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Passionate about software development and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Experience in billing or a similar domain is a plus, but not required.
