Our Client is a multi-disciplinary team of Building Services Engineers, Passive House Consultant and Architects, delivering integrated design solutions in tandem with specialist advice, feasibility studies and low carbon strategies. The business is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Engineer to join this flexible multi-disciplinary team. In an engineering role you will be taking on all aspects of project work (both mechanical and electrical), including calculations, specification and drawing work. You will also be working with other professionals on project teams, contributing to reports and carrying out site visits.

The company uses the latest technology and you will be invited to be a key part of future developments to help deliver world class designs, including; Dynamic Thermal Modelling, BIM implementation, Passive House design, Post Occupancy Evaluations, and LEAN design, to name a few.

The ideal candidate will have will have approximately 3-5 years of Building Services Engineering experience with either an HVAC or Electrical design bias, working comfortably at Intermediate level and able to contribute to projects straight away. What’s most important is a genuine passion for sustainable design and an interest in learning new software and developing existing skills. You will require a keen interest in energy, buildings, and creating the best working and living environments, including the nuts and bolts of how this is achieved from concept to completion.

You will need to be resourceful, conscientious, innovative, and able to work independently. Key to the success of this role will be strong communication with all levels of professionals and trades people, good interpersonal and presentation skills along with a confident demeanour. The position comes with a negotiable salary depending on experience. The pay system is open and transparent, after 6 months you can become a member of the co-operative and share in any surplus profits. A generous holiday entitlement of 30 days is also standard as a strong work/life balance is also encouraged to reinvigorate and facilitate fresh mind and creative thinking.
