£30,000 - £35,000/annum plus generous package

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a long-standing construction main contractor based in Humberside. The company have been operating for several decades & have become one of Humberside's most reputable construction contractors. They are seeking to add to their already-sizeable team due to an influx of project wins recently.

This role is involved with the Construction Minor Works team - projects up to £2.5m. This will entail: new build steel sheds, school extensions, internal packages, refurbs etc. Also will have some involvement with the social housing refurbishment side as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Quantity Surveyor & Senior Quantity Surveyor within the team
  • Managing & liaison with sub-contractors
  • Basic measurement of work on site
  • Processing sub-contractor payment applications
  • Contract administration
  • Gather data for CVR's & reports lead by Quantity Surveyors
  • General separating of cost data day to day

Must have experience:

  • Contractual knowledge – NEC or JCT knowledge is desirable
  • Experience processing sub-contractor payment applications
  • Experience as Graduate / Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a construction contractor is essential
  • Lvl.3, HNC or above in Quantity Surveying / Construction related discipline is essential
  • CSCS Card for site visits

A salary of up to £35,000 plus: company vehicle or allowance, annual leave, pension scheme, private medical and other benefits.
