£75,000 - £85,000/annum Bens + Bonus

Job Description:

As a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual aspects of our construction projects. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that contracts are administered effectively, risks are mitigated, and projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration:

    • Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts.
    • Implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard project interests.
    • Monitor and manage contract changes and variations.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met.
    • Provide guidance on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
    • Monitor and report on contract performance.
  • Budget Oversight:

    • Work closely with the finance team to track and control project costs.
    • Review and approve invoices and payment applications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction or real estate development industry.
  • In-depth understanding of construction contracts, legal terms, and project management principles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
