Salary - £20,000 - £35,000 Per Annum Negotiable depending on experience + Benefits
A brilliant opportunity has arisen for one of our well established clients based in the west midlands that operate as market leaders in mobile mapping and Geomatic surveying. They focus on larger scale projects using the latest digital technology. They strive to lead the market in digital surveying and service delivery adding value to their customers at every stage of the mapping and surveying journey through an agile and dynamic approach.
As a Utility Surveyor, your role will involve supporting Senior Surveyors and Project Managers to conduct surveys in a variety of different environments. The types of survey tasks you will carry out include; topographic, utility, laser scanning and office data processing. The sectors in which we specialise are; rail and guided transport, highways and bridges, aviation and airside, estates and property, energy & utilities and environmental & marine.
Responsibility & Duties
- Responsible for undertaking utility and topographical surveys
- Manhole lifting and assisting with the observations and measurements
- Locating utilities via electromagnetic locators and ground penetrating radar
- Total station and GPS/GNSS observations
- Create Utility Survey drawings and Reports
- Mentor and train less experienced team members as and when required
- Management and maintenance of survey equipment
- Production of CAD Drawings from Survey Data
- Post Processing of GPR Data in GREDHD and IQ Maps
- Ensure QA/QC Compliance
Experience & Qualification
- Previous experience working as a Utility Surveyor (minimum 2 years)
- Experience of using Robotic Total Stations & GNSS
- PTS and CSCS accreditations are required
- Use of GPR and Electromagnetic Locating techniques
- Understanding of PAS128 Standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
