My client are a leading construction consultancy based in South East London that are on the lookout for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team.

The successful candidate will work on a range of projects across the residential, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of building surveys, defect reports, and schedules of condition
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including drawings and specifications
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the management of tender processes
• Assist in the preparation of reports and the management of projects
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals
• Undertake measured surveys of buildings using electronic survey equipment
• Assist in the preparation of building regulations and planning applications

Requirements:

• A degree in building surveying or a related discipline
• Some experience in a building surveying role, either through work experience or a placement year
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• The ability to work as part of a team and to take on responsibility
