We’re currently working remotely due to Covid. The future will see us working in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home and office working (around 1-2 days a week in the office).

We’re looking for a lead billing analyst to join us, and manage the renewal, billing and budget support for our third-party tech services. If you have the technical knowledge and great communication skills we need, then we can offer you the chance to develop your career with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

In this role, you’ll be advising colleagues on best practice, and helping to resolve any queries. We’ll look to you to build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels. You’ll be reviewing and advising on governance controls and making sure processes are in place and fit for purpose. It’ll be up to you to use your expert knowledge and skills to build, format and produce reporting for all levels within Co-op using Power BI and O365 tools.

What you’ll do:

• support the development and maintenance of partner relationships with key network vendors and technical authorities
• work collaboratively with a range of colleagues at all levels within Co-op
• provide a high level of expertise, support and advice in the assurance of technology budgets and associated costs, by introducing detailed admin processes and procedures both internally and with established vendors
• assist the development of the wider team through providing support and offering expert advice to junior colleagues within the team to improve financial assurance
• track financial aspects of project, making sure they’re delivered to cost
• actively identify opportunities to deliver cost efficiencies and process improvements across the team

This role would suit people who have:

• knowledge of tech services, associated contract terms and renewals
• a good understanding of how finance works (previous experience of purchase orders, budgets, and day books)
• previous reporting experience
• good general IT skills, with experience of using Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power BI (Access would be beneficial but isn’t essential)
• the ability to learn quickly and pick up new systems
• great team working skills, and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels
• strong communication skills

Why Co-op?

Here you’ll do work that matters. We’re a commercial organisation with a purpose beyond profit, you’ll have an opportunity to help us build a stronger Co-op and stronger communities. You’ll also get a package that includes:

• competitive salary
• coaching, training and support to help you develop
• pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• annual incentive scheme
• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 in line with service)
• discounts on Co-op products and services

Building an inclusive work environment

We’re actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone. But simply having a diverse workforce is not enough. We aim to build an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We celebrate our differences, and recognise the importance of teams reflecting the communities they serve.

We can make reasonable adjustments to our interview process according to your needs. And we offer a flexible working environment so you can adjust your hours to suit your personal circumstances. You can find out more about Co-op people policies at (url removed)/peoplepolicies.

As part of your application you’ll need to complete an online assessment. It will take you around 12 minutes to complete this test.
