Get Golfing CIO, a sports charity organisation that supports struggling English golf facilities, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager for one of its larger venues. Warley Park is a picturesque venue located in Essex with a unique 18-hole course and recently renovated function and events suite.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue's sales and operations to ensure a high-quality experience. You will lead a dedicated team and work closely with head office to drive revenue, maintain , and provide exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Warley Park and change the perception of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational and financial aspects of the venue to meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead and motivate a team of staff, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new members and increase visitor numbers.
- Maintain and improve course conditions to deliver an exceptional golfing experience.
- Build on the current functions and events performance to offer an outstanding experience.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, including cost control and revenue maximisation.
- Build strong relationships with our customers and suppliers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and venue policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the golf or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge and passion for golf, including golf course management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and make effective decisions.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
