We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Yeadon, Leeds. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in establishing connections and building initial relationships with prospective new customers. Your efforts will range from direct lead prospecting to following up on marketing organic lead enquiries. Working collaboratively with the wider team, you will be instrumental in securing orders and promoting our client's values, services, and diverse product range, ensuring the continued growth and success of the business.

This role could be ideally suited to a recent College or University Graduate (Business related studies) who is looking to forge a career in sales!

Location: Yeadon, Leeds, UK

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch) Monday-Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm Friday

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Benefits: Performance related commission, free lunch, 21 days holiday + Statutory (Increases with tenure, after 1 year service), NEST Pension, Free parking

Key Responsibilities
  • Record meaningful contacts and calls onto our CRM system, HubSpot.
  • Ensure inbound leads are acknowledged in line with company values.
  • Maintain and enhance the CRM contact pool.
  • Assist in prospecting for new opportunities.
  • Follow up on promising opportunities and close sales with support from the greater team.
  • Support the New Business team as needed.

Requirements

  • Experienced in a customer service or sales orientated role - with a focus on telephone sales
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
